TRADITIONAL CLASSIC DESIGN
The NAD C 359S continues the understated amplifier design language that has defined NAD for generations. No display, no visual distractions, no unnecessary complexity, just tactile push-buttons, rotary controls, and the direct physical feel of a real integrated amplifier. Sitting naturally alongside the C 316 family, the C 359S belongs to NAD’s Traditional Classic range, where simplicity is not a limitation, but a design principle. Its clean front panel and purposeful layout make it instantly familiar to anyone who has owned or admired a classic NAD amplifier. Designed to look like what it is, an amplifier, the C 359S is built for listeners who value music, usability, and long-term honesty over flash or gimmicks.
CLASSIC NAD AMPLIFICATION, MODERNIZED
At the heart of the C 359S is a classic NAD Class A/B amplifier architecture, delivering 70 watts per channel with the musical drive, dynamic headroom, and real-world loudspeaker control that have defined NAD integrated amplifiers for decades. This is proven technology, trusted for its ability to bring music to life with confidence and ease. For the C 359S, NAD has modernized the execution with a 4-layer PCB layout with dedicated circuit sections for power supply, signal processing and power amplification, together with carefully optimized grounding and signal routing. A high-current switched-mode power supply, optimized specifically for power-amplifier performance, provides stable output, low ripple, and excellent transient response. The result is not change for the sake of change, but classic NAD amplification refined through modern engineering.
DYNAMIC DIGITAL HEADROOM (DDH)
The C 569 includes Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH), a practical technology designed to improve playback fidelity on demanding recordings. Intersample peaks can exceed the nominal 0 dBFS limit even when none of the individual PCM samples does. If the DAC does not have sufficient headroom to accommodate the reconstructed waveform, these peaks can cause hard clipping. Transient-rich sounds such as rimshots and other percussion can be particularly susceptible. DDH reduces the internal digital signal level by 3 dB before conversion, providing the additional headroom needed to reconstruct intersample peaks without clipping. The result is cleaner, more natural sound on dynamically intense or heavily mastered recordings, preserving transient detail while reducing unwanted harshness and distortion.
BLUOS HI-RES STREAMING
With BluOS fully integrated into its internal architecture, the C359S combines traditional NAD amplification with a complete high-resolution network music platform. Stream lossless, hires audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz from over 20 popular services including TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music, or play music from your own local library. Create a wireless multi-room setup with other BluOS-enabled players from NAD and Bluesound, and control everything through the intuitive BluOS app for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. Combining classic NAD amplification with BluOS convenience, the C 359S delivers true HiFi performance from today’s most important music sources, without losing the simplicity and character of a traditional amplifier.
