Safe and Sound now offering Arcam home audio products

With a rich history in the home audio realm, Arcam has quite a list of accolades. Their Black Box was the first domestic audio DAC and their classic A60 integrated release in 1976 was a huge trend-setter in the world of home audio. They also were a huge innovator in home theater as well being one of the first to integrated HDMI with their DVD players. 40 years later and Arcam and still among the very best in both Hi-Fi and Home Theater products.

The future for Arcam looks extremely promising as they have showcased their phase 2 Radia products at the 2024 CEDIA. These feature a beautiful industrial design along with more power and more capabilities than the original Radia series. The SA35 streaming integrated for example, which replaces the SA30, adds a full color display on the front panel with album art and other metadata along with 120 watts of class G power. For a dedicated streamer, the ST25 which is a great pairing with the A25, also has the full color front display along with toroidal power supply, high performance DAC and very low noise design. Both the dedicated streamer ST25 and the integrated amp streamer SA35 offers streaming from Apple Airplay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon.

The flagship integrated streamer from the phase II Radia series is the SA45 which is a very beefed up model. The power supply is much bigger, more balanced circuitry, along with a higher amplifier output of 180 watts of G Class power. Dirac Live is also a feature with the SA45 and the SA35 along with HDMI eARC as well. Class G amplification has been a technology that has been refined more and more throughout the years by the expert team at Arcam and, in short, it captures all the great low level sound signature that is most appreciated with class A amplifiers while also allowing for a great power reserve for great dynamic power from even the most demanding speakers. 

Bottom line, these new models are elegant with their industrial design, feature rich, and have plenty of power. The HDMI eARC is a great addition to provide audio from video.
